Hi, I’m Sonika — a speech therapist with a passion for helping children and adults with complex communication needs. Over the past 5 years, I have worked with both children and adults in local schools, hospitals, early intervention settings, and day programs.

My goal is to help every client feel empowered and capable through communication. I take a strengths-based, client-centered approach, making sure therapy is meaningful, functional, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. I love working closely with families and caregivers to create a plan that truly fits into everyday life.

I am proud to have been born and raised in Maryland and now call Northern Virginia home! In my free time, I love hiking, cooking, crocheting, and spending time with my loved ones.

  • "Our son is doing these we never thought he would have been able to."

Sonika was referred to us when our son's speech therapist moved away. She has been amazing for our son. Her knowledge and skills have been the some of the best from any therapist we have seen. We have seen 5 different speech therapists. We would not go to anyone but Sonika. Our son is 2 years old and has Quad Spastic CP and CVI and her insight and help with the AAC has been truly remarkable. Our son is doing these we never thought he would have been able to. We do credit a lot of this to Sonika's work and dedication to him each week. Would recommend Sonkia to any and everyone.

  • "An exceptional speech-language pathologist"

“Sonika Singh is an exceptional speech-language pathologist. She has been a loving and caring provider for my daughter, always going above and beyond to ensure her progress and customize her sessions with my daughter's favorite characters and activities. I highly recommend Sonika Singh to anyone seeking a skilled and empathetic SLP.”

~ Parent of a Gestalt Language Processor

  • "We commute over an hour to work with Ms. Sonika"

It has been almost a year since our daughter has started working with Ms. Sonika. Our daughter has a rare Neuro genetic disorder called Angelman Syndrome. This syndrome causes individuals to have little to no speech throughout their entire life. Since working with Ms. Sonika, our daughter has become more expressive with her language/sounds, is more interested in exploring toys/books, and has even started adapting to her AAC device. We commute over an hour to work with Ms. Sonika and the distance has totally been worth the results!
